Thema: beroemde Hindu-geleerden

Hier kunnen jullie terecht voor namen van Hindu-geleerden (man / vrouw), hun prestaties en hun achtergronden.

vind u dat Gandhiji (the first ) goed heeft gehandelt of vind u dat het goed is dat hij doodgeschoten is?

Ik zelf heb me niet genoeg verdiept...maar ik denk dat de Hindoes die geen fan zijn van Gandhiji ook "een strong case" (so to say) hebben.

Hij heeft nl per saldo weinig gadaan voor Hindoes en India zijn visie van Ahimsa is niet helemaal in line met de BG. Of zit ik nu echt onzin uittekramen? In de BG wordt namelijk gestreden voor de dharm. Nogmaals ik heb me niet verdiept in Gandhiji.

Ik ben ook skeptisch tegenover het beeld dat door het westen is gevormd over deze "mahatma".

Ego,

Gandhi was een politieke figuur. Hij stond op tegen de machtige Britten en wist vanuit het niets de hele bevolking achter zich te krijgen. Zoiets kan alleen gebeuren als je veel wijsheid en liefde bezit. Als politiek leider vindt ik Gandhi een verlichte ziel.
Wat hij blijkbaar later inzag, was dat na het vertrek van de britten de onenigheden die toen niet zichtbaar waren opeens weer zichtbaar zouden worden. De Hindoe-moslim onenigheden. In die ontwikkeling van India's politiek was zijn eerdere 'Ahimsa' gedachte, doelloos. De Ahimsa gedachte zoals gandhi die gebruikte had niets te maken met de Ahimsa gedachte vanuit het Hindoeïsme. Maar het was wel een instrument waarmee Gandhi de Britten aankon. Nadat de britten weg waren moest Gandhi als een volksleider consequent zijn in zijn verantwoordelijkheden en op zoek gaan naar andere instrumenten om zijn natie goed te leiden. Maar in deze nieuwe situatie was Gandhi niet opgewassen tegen de toen ontstane problematiek. Zijn kruit had hij verschoten.
Het was een kwestie van dagen dat zijn geidealiseerde Bharat uiteen zou vallen. Zijn falen was dat hij teveel vertrouwen had in zijn ideaalbeeld van India.
Gandhi was een man met een droom. Een aspect van zijn droom was verwezenlijkt. De andere kant had hij vanzelfsprekend geacht, maar wat in werkelijkheid niet zo was. In die onenigheden hadden de moslims hun eigen leider gevonden (Jinnah). Gandhi was niet de prototype voor een leider van de Hindoebevolking. De Hindoes wilden hem niet tot monument verklaren. Gandhi en zijn eerdere apathische houding hadden geen kans in deze nieuwe situatie. De Hindoes lieten hem toch zijn gang gaan, waardoor zij hem zelf een halt moesten toeroepen.

Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar (1910-1995),astrofysicus en nobelprijs winnaar Natuurkunde die door zuivere redenatie (dus zonder waarnemingen!) de levensloop van de sterren heeft uiteengezet.Naar hem is de 'chandrasekhar limiet' genoemd en is hij de eerste geweest die het bestaan van zwarte gaten in het helaal theoretisch heeft bewezen.

14. Sushruta is the father of surgery. 2600 years ago he and health

over 5000 years ago, Indians established Harappan culture in Sindhu
Valley (Indus Valley Civilisation).

16. The place value system, the decimal system was developed in India in
100 BC.


Het bovenstaande is slechts een topje van een grote ijsberg.
Niet moeten we vergeten dat ook de Veda's werken hebben geleverd over
astronomie, astrologie, politiek, economie, rekenkunde en nog veel meer..

Interessant is het misschien om te vermelden dat de stelling van Pythagoras eigenlijk niet eens te stelling van Pythagoras was aangezien
deze wiskundige stelling reeds 1000 jaar voor Pythagoras was verzonnen
door Shri Ramanujacharya.

Zo zie je eigenlijk hoe rijk we wel niet zijn!

A young and courageous revolutionary Bhagat singh born in the district of Lyallapur in punjab, in 1907. He was a nephew of the famous revolutionary Ajit singh. He was one of the well read political leaders of the time. He had devoured books in the Dwarakadas library at Lahore on socialism, soviet union, revolutionary movements especially in Russia, Ireland and Italy. At Lahore he organized several study circles with the help of Sukhdev and others and carried on intensive political discussions.

Bhagat Singh had already, before his arrest in 1929 abandoned individual heoic action and belief in terrorism. He had turned to marxism and had come to believe that popular broad based mass movements alone could lead to successful revolution. In other words revolution could only be achieved "by the masses for the masses". That is why Bhagat Singh established Punjab Naujawan Bharat Sabha in 1926, as a open wing of revolutionaries. He was the founder secreatary of the organization. The Sabha was to carry out political work among the youth, Peasants and workers. Many branches were opened in villages. Bhagat Singh used to deliver political lectures with the help of magic lantern slides. Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev also organized the Lahore students union for open legal work among the students.

The failure of Non-cooperation movement led to the growth of revolutionary movements. After an all India conference Hindustan Republican Army was formed. The government struck at it by arresting large number of youths and trying them in Kakori conspiracy case(1925). Seventeen were sentenced to long term imprisonment, four were transported for life and four, including Ram prasad Bismil, Ashwaqulla were hanged. Chandra sekhar azad who also belonged to the Hindustan Republican Army escaped arrest. The revolutionaries soon came under the influence of socialist ideas. In 1928 under the leadership of Chandra sekhar azad Hindustan Socialist Republican Army was formed. The most prominent leader of the organization was Bhagat Singh.

Shrinivazi Ramanujan (1882-1920).Een briljant wiskundige die zonder enige vorm van formele scholing baanbrekend werk heeft verricht in vele takken van de Wiskunde.Nog steeds vormen zijn notities een bron van inspiratie én ergernis voor hedendaagse wiskundigen,ergernis omdat zijn probleemstellingen maar moeilijk hun schoonheid prijs geven.Gedurende zijn korte leven (overleden op 32 jarige leeftijd) heeft hij voortdurend armoede en miskenning gekend,echter gelukkig voor hem hebben enkele invloedrijke figuren zijn grote talent vroegtijdig ontdekt.Hij bleef echter een outsider,wereldvreemd asociaal mannetje met een chaotisch voorkomen,bijna stereotyp zou je zeggen.Hij stierf in armoede...

Ja dat klopt zijn boeken (Ramanujan) zijn ook vandaag verplichte kost voor velen toegepastwiskundigen.
