Those who learn to fly, learn to live. Those who learn to live, take to the air, leaving the others far behind. Much like Jonathan Livingston Seagull, who was pigeonholed an ‘outcast’, merely for wanting to soar. And he did take flight, high above into the limitless skies. So much like Preity Zinta who, drifting from her own stock, has made her own rules, risked her own odds and raked in her own laurels for doing just that. Leaving some of the other beautiful doves of her ilk gaping in bewilderment, the rest envious of her bravado - an act usually saved for the machos of the film world. With the absence of item numbers, titillating scenes or arrestingly glamorous roles to flank her histrionics, Ms. Zinta has monitored the aerodynamics of her career at dizzying heights. But even as she is ‘up above the world so high’, the old Laws of the Earth trickle a sense of enragement into her veins. The stories of her link-ups with co-stars – like Aamir, Abhishek and Saif - make the actress peck irately at her aggressors: “I think all people who link me to my co-stars deserve one tight slap. And I am saying this with all integrity as a human being. And I have said this even before - I will never get involved with anybody I work with. I never will. My relationships with all my actors are such that I love them; they are special relationships which mean a lot to me. I respect the fact that they are seeing somebody or they are married and I don’t want to disrupt the sanctity of that. I know Abhishek is not married, and he’s not seeing anyone, but I am not seeing him. Believe me, the day I am seeing somebody, I will wear a t-shirt saying ‘I am not single’. For now, I am single and I am very happy to be single. So stop linking me. Stop it now!” When most actresses take pride in being wooed and serenaded by their male counterparts, Preity poses as lady mentor for the men - even the hunky Hrithik Roshan. Quickly she avers, “I think Hrithik and I are good together! In ‘Lakshya’ I am not his mentor. We have a very real and interesting relationship. I hate Hrithik for the way he moves; every muscle in his body can dance to a tune. But his dance in ‘Lakshya’ is very miniscule compared to his performance.”

Jullie zijn allemaal gek!! Het is een nachtmerrie om op preity te lijken!!! De strijd om broodmager te worden en die rot volle wangen kwijt te raken is verschrikkelijk! Geloof me maar, ik kan het weten....................  Sinds ik het van mensen hoor dat ik op haar lijk voel ik me rot. De eerste keer dat iemand tegen mijzei dat ik ophaar leek geloofde ik het niet WANT HOE KAN IK NOU ZOOOOOOOO DIK ZIJN! Maar daarna hoorde ik het steeds vaker en het is waar...ik ben alleen ietsje bruiner..............voel me sindsdien DIK! |
