Rep kracht: 0  |  Bollywood star's guard shot dead Police in Mumbai (Bombay) have arrested one of Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan's security guards after he allegedly shot dead another guard at Khan's home. The film star was at his residence when the shooting took place early on Tuesday morning. Khan's palatial bungalow is heavily guarded and the incident happened inside the tall gates. Police have been told it was a freak accident, but they say they are looking into all possibilities. Security guards in neighbouring houses have suggested there was an argument between the two security guards, following which one of them shot the other. There has been no immediate comment from Khan. Acclaimed actor Shahrukh Khan has been a household name in India ever since he first appeared in the TV serial Fauji and soap opera Circus in the late 1980s. Khan has been a lead actor in Bollywood's biggest hit films since his first film in 1992. He has acted in more than 50 films and has gained millions of fans playing romantic leads as well as villains, and even portraying historical figures. Two of his films, Paheli and Devdas, were entered officially by India at the Oscars. Khan has also made his mark as a producer in the Indian film industry, and was given India's highest civilian award, the Padma Shri, in 2004. bron: bbc |

Madhuri terug op het scherm met Shah Rukh  De Indiase nieuwssite Sargam meldt dat Madhuri Dixit, de sexy koningin van Bollywood er klaar voor is om haar grote comeback te maken. Bollywood fans kunnen haar binnen niet al te lange tijd weer bewonderen op het witte scherm in een film van Yash Chopra. Hoewel Yash Chopra had aangegeven niet meer met Shah Rukh Khan te zullen werken, schijnt hij haar tegenspeler te zijn. Een tijd geleden ging het gerucht dat Madhuri in de klassieke remake van Kabhi Kabhie zou spelen. Dit is echter nooit bevestigd, maar het laatste gerucht is dat de fenomenale actrice haar handtekening heeft gezet onder twee producties. Eén daarvan is een film van Yash Chopra met Shah Rukh Khan als haar tegenspeler. Zij waren ook samen te zien in onder andere ‘Devdas’, de laatste film van Madhuri. Naar het schijnt zullen ook Rani Mukherji en Preity Zinta in de film spelen. Over de tweede film is weinig bekend. Wel wordt verwacht dat de opnames van beide films vrijwel simultaan zullen plaatsvinden. © Bollywood.NL |
