Rep kracht: 0 ![]() | Rani’s dress stress The actress is having a tough time maintaining her single costume in Kunal Kohli’s film Rani Mukerji is playing an angel in Kunal Kohli’s next film for Yash Raj. Sources reveal that the film is inspired by the classic drama, Mary Poppins. It also stars Saif Ali Khan and Ameesha Patel. Rani plays a nanny with magical powers and she will be seen in just one dress in the entire film. Handle with care A source from the film adds, “Rani has watched Mary Poppins. She’s aware that her character is based on the film. In fact, in the original film Mary Poppins is shown wearing one main ensemble through out the movie. But the dress is very fragile and is giving a lot of heartburn to the actress.” Fairyland The outfit made by Manish Malhotra for Rani is exquisite and delicate. Rani has been having a tough time managing the ensemble. Adds an insider, “It’s a pristine-looking dress, the kind you see fairies wear in storybooks. Rani is having a tough time keeping the dress in ship-shape over the long hours of shooting. Even though there are copies of the same outfit, director Kunal Kohli wants her to stick to one outfit. This is because it is a very elaborate ensemble and it takes a long time for the actress to get ready, which causes delays in the shooting.” The film will also have special effects, those involving Rani and her magical charms she uses with the kids. Bhatt moves on from Ameesha to Adah Vikram finds love in 1920 debutante, Adah Sharmam Like everywhere else, change is the only constant in Bollywood. They were once a couple, but as reported ‘It’s over between Vikram and Ameesha’ (Mid Day, January 17), Ameesha Patel dropped long-time beau director Vikram Bhatt for London-based businessman Kanav Puri. Not one to be left behind, Vikram Bhatt is now in a steady relationship with the debutante of his forthcoming film 1920, actress Adah Sharmam. In love According to a source from the unit, “Vikram and Adah share a very special relationship, which is blooming into love. Adah who makes her debut in Vikram’s 1920, is seen with him practically everywhere. They lunch and dine together, and when free between shots, are seen spending time with each other.” The source adds, “One sees them all cosy and mushy with each other. He is promoting her in every way and is also suggesting her name to other directors.” We asked Vikram if the buzz was true. He replied “Not at all. Anyway, you guys can go ahead and write what you want.” 1920 is a period-horror film. It’s a work of fiction that is set in the year 1920. The film traces the love story of an Indian boy and an English girl. The shooting has commenced and is currently being shot at Film City studio. Govinda halts shoot for 2 hours for numerologist While he comes up with a ‘lucky’ number for a jail scene in Neeraj Vora’s Lucky 2 Almost all actors have given in to the tempatation of changing the spellings of their names for a bit of luck. Filmmakers are known for making trips to religious places like Shirdi and Vaishodevi on the eve of their films to ensure a good run at the box-office but Govinda is taking his obsession for attracting good luck to a new level. Number game Recently the superstitious actor called up his numerologist to check if the number on his jail clothes (he is playing a prisoner) was lucky. Ironically this happened on the sets of his film Lucky 2. According to a source from the unit, “Govinda is very superstitious about the clothes and colours he wears; also the accessories he puts on, not only in his personal effects but also his work clothes.” “During the shoot of Lucky 2, Chi Chi and Tusshar Kapoor were to play prisoners. Their jail clothes had to carry a code number. Apparently the actor-turned-MP had a problem with the number on his shirt as he felt that numrelogically it wasn’t right for him,” continues the source. The actor halted the shoot and called up his numerologist and had a deep discussion over the phone. An hour later, Govinda came up with his lucky number given to him by the numerologist. The source adds, “The entire shoot was delayed by almost two hours as the numerologist had to be called to change the number on his shirt. This is not the first time that Govinda has caused a delay in the shooting due to his superstitions. One time, he held up shooting because he didn’t want to wear a particular colour on a particular day.” Bar code Not surprinsingly Govinda denies the accusation, “A prisoner is a prisoner even if you change the number. It was not that I was really behind bars that I had to call a numerologist. It was just a movie scene, and I didn’t change any number.” Lucky 2 is directed by Neeeraj Vora and stars Govinda, Amisha Patel, Tusshar Kapoor, Tanushree Dutta and Upen Patel.

Rep kracht: 0 ![]() | 'Ameesha will always be my best friend' The last ten days have been very entertaining for me, to say the least. As it has been widely reported by the media, my five-year-old relationship came to an end. And then, what began was a roller coaster ride of very peculiar human behaviour. Not that the concept of a break-up is alien to me, but like all relationships, all break-ups are also very unique. In my entire life, I could not have imagined that a break-up could be cordial and amicable. Two people who respect each other can see each other's changing needs and desires and agree that love is to see each other happy even if it means not staying together. Being avilable We understood and managed that so well.. We executed that so well. However there are other agendas. The secretary and the Public Relations agent thought it was a terrific idea to leak the news to the press. Helps careers, you see! There's a strange belief in film land - to be successful you must seem available. But I don't understand one thing - when were people in relationships ‘not available' if they wished to be? Availability is a state of the mind. Anyways, since it was our break-up, we had little say in the matter. Our common friends were devastated. Ashish and Sejal didn't know what hit them. One of the side-effects of a breakup is that friends get divided. Blame game In our case it was not so bad because there was no right or wrong. There was no blame game and the friends were not challenged for their loyalty. The media got a much needed story. I understand their problem. So many publications, so many channels, so many pages to fill everyday and so little news .. to report. I'm happy my life helped a news-starved entertainment journalist. After all, this is the age of recycling.. and what better than a biodegradable relationship. Then of course there were reactions in the press. Beautiful heart Mrs Patel was particularly amusing. I was tempted to retaliate but remembered the old saying, "The problem with mudwrestling with a pig is, after a while you realise that you are getting filthy and the pig is enjoying it." So I just let it be. My dignity was saved by a coat of varnish. But one thing I can do now without worrying about being biased or ‘the interested party' is to talk about Ameesha Patel. Ameesha was, is and will always remain, one great girl. She's a beautiful girl with an even more beautiful heart. Friends forever In these past years, I've seen her fighting the odds with great strength of character. She's come out of being ‘stripped off ' everything she owned, to owning a penthouse. That makes me so proud. We will always be the best of friends. Unfortunately for everyone who's hoping for drama, I can only say that we came together to seek happiness and still hold each other's hand in that quest. This is a chapter with a happy ending. As far as my life is concerned it's a soap opera.. to be continued.
